CALL OF DUTY
For 8 months I worked as lead writer and ACD for the Call of Duty social AOR. I pitched regularly to Activision while creating content for Twitter, Instagram, and livestreams, maintaining content calendars, writing Tweets for live events, responding to other brands, and more. This timeframe covered Call of Duty: Warzone, the closing chapters of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and the launch of Call of Duty: Vanguard.
SNOOP DOGG OPERATOR BUNDLE
We launched a lot of operator bundles during my time, but Snoop Dogg deserved a little something extra. I led the writing initiative for Snoop’s “Dogg Tags,” which were read by Snoop himself, before being transformed into a bespoke soundboard
In line with my promise of captivating storytelling, tuned to performance, we partnered with 100 Thieves’ @joshchx to have him troll teammates on a livestream.
The unexpected experience of hearing Snoop Dogg’s voice laying down some COD-customized lines on the mic created a series of hilariously authentic reactions from real gamers. The result? Virality infused with FOMO, incentivizing COD fans to be the first to style on their squad in a process I call “soft conversion.”
The following is a sample series of memes and posts I wrote and helped create. In a time where there was some player controversy around COD, I opted for unique ideas that felt natural to their brand by staying away from “try-hard” messaging, instead opting for quick and clever lines that let the assets and partnerships do the talking.
